Mino city in Gifu prefecture is well known for their historical craftsmanship of washi paper (traditional Japanese papers made from the long inner fibres of plants). Furukawa Shiko has been providing variety goods with Mino Washi paper that has a proud 1300-year history. The history of the paper is very old, and it was already used as a record paper of the government office during the Nara period. The inheritance of delicate, aesthetic sense and values from the Nara and Heian period has been preserved to the present days.
Furukawa Paper Mill wants to connect this precious thing through paper, the most important thing is the sense of connection between people and people and the sensibility unique to people.
